Due to a bracelet that a fan gave CM Punk, WWE stars CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have developed one of the most discussed rivalries in professional wrestling over the past few months. Along with his wife AJ Mendez (previously WWE’s AJ Lee) and their dog Larry’s names, the friendship bracelet incorporates colours from the Chicago flag. McIntyre has made it a point to “torture” Punk by pilfering it and even shattering it on a recent WWE Raw program. It was leaked this week that their conflict would conclude inside a steel cage at the upcoming Premium Live Event. But AJ has been mentioned on TV in the past few weeks, which has thrilled those hoping to see her get her flowers.
ComicBook recently met up with Mendez to discuss her forthcoming comic publication with Day of the Dead Girl, partner Aimee Garcia, and asked about her ideas on the storyline.
“I mean this in the most loving sense; I have no idea what’s going on [laugh]. I’m weird about like; I’m afraid, so I refuse to see my hubby wrestle live. It’s like a strange juju thing,” Mendez remarked. “But also, do you open your email when you go home from work? That’s rather similar. If others can comprehend, that is how it feels. I am thus sort of on the margins and get kind of looped in largely for women’s stuff as it is what interests me.
My hubby will thus inform me who the current cool lady is. And I become rather fixated on people. like Bayley and Naomi? She are my daughters. That’s why I find this intriguing. I sort of have no idea what the plot is revolving around. I am aware that my dog suddenly is really well-known! He has some surprise merchandise on order. I have firsthand knowledge of that. Still, it’s awesome. That he’s healthy and happy and is killing it makes me glad. I’m proud.”
